Sarah loves working with parents (especially those adjusting to this new identity), C-Suite executives, helping-professionals, entrepreneurs, as well as people who work in the hospitality industry. Sarah brings a psychodynamic approach to her work with a warm relational style.
Sarah grew up in the Hudson Valley and after 14 years of living in NYC, she returned there to put down roots with her family. Traveling, spending time in the city, all things culinary, and exploring nature are amongst her most cherished activities.

About Sarah

I earned a BA in Psychology & Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook and my MSW from New York University. I’ve since earned post-graduate certificates in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, in Shame Resilience through the Brené Brown Education and Research Group as well as in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
Prior to my work in private practice, I worked in a non-profit providing community-based mental health care and harm reduction psychotherapy to New Yorkers.
Being a therapist is an especially unique and exceptional role to play in relation to another person’s life. I am honored to work with people around some of the most intimate details of their life and take that responsibility very seriously. I believe that an optimal level of trust must be established in order to allow the therapeutic alliance to develop. I enjoy feeling challenged by my work with clients while also cherishing the ability to bear witness to the growth and increased fulfillment that I’ve been able to observe my patients to experience.
Courage, compassion, and play (which is the one I’ve been pushing myself to practice more lately).
Practicing making more room for play, hanging in my kitchen (cooking, hosting, family dance partying), solo dates to the movies, quality time with friends and family, spending time in nature, (trying not to fall asleep while) reading in bed.
